Scott K. Ritsema, CPA

Scott is a Senior Tax Manager with Monroe, Sweeris & Tromp, PLC, and CPA with over 35 years of public accounting tax experience in the West Michigan area. Scott Ritsema has provided tax planning, strategy and compliance advice and services for a range of clients including tax-exempt organizations, individuals, partnerships, up to national corporations with international affiliations.

Scott began his public accounting career with Touche Ross (now Deloitte) in Grand Rapids where he concentrated on tax-exempt entities and employee benefit plan taxation. He worked as a Senior Tax Manager at Crowe Horwath for eleven years, concentrating on corporate, partnership, trust, and individual taxation, merger and acquisition tax planning and modeling, multi-state taxation, succession planning, and estate and gift tax planning for individuals and shareholders.
A life-long Grand Rapids resident, Scott just currently stepped down from the board of directors for the Christian Reformed Church Loan Fund and has served on the ad hoc Professional Advisory Committee for United Way and the board of directors for ICCF. Scott and Cynthia have three adult children and two grandchildren.
