This year's winners will be recognized during the Annual Awards Luncheon at IMA's Annual Conference & Expo in San Diego, CA on June 18.
CMA 2020 Exam Changes
In their continued effort to ensure that the CMA exam is current, relevant, and valid, the ICMA (Institute of Certified Management Accountants) is issuing changes to the CMA exam. These changes will take effect on January 1, 2020.
The key areas of change have to do with technology and ethics/strategy. Part 1 of the exam will now include a section on Technology & Analytics. Part 2 of the exam will expand the Professional Ethics and Decision Analysis sections.
IMA Managment Accounting Competency Framework
After analyzing the emerging competencies needed by management accountants, the IMA has updated the IMA Management Accounting Competency Framework. The six domains of core knowledge, skills, and abilities for finance and accounting professionals are:
Strategy, Planning & Performance
Reporting & Control
Technology & Analytics
Business Acumen & Operations
Leadership
Professional Ethics & Values
