Habitat for Humanity® of Kent County has notified the IMA Grand Rapids Chapter that the volunteer event scheduled for June 8, 2024 has been canceled due to unexpected staffing and scheduling changes.

IMA Volunteer Event: Habitat for Humanity
Join the IMA Grand Rapids Chapter for a special volunteer service event with Habitat for Humanity® of Kent County!
IMA members, family, and guests are invited to join the chapter on Saturday, June 8, 2024 between 8 AM and 4 PM as we work together on a service project for Habitat for Humanity® of Kent County. To accommodate volunteer schedules, the chapter has reserved two separate shifts during the day:
- Morning shift: 8 AM – 12 PM
- Afternoon shift: 12:30 PM – 4 PM
Each shift requires a minimum of 4 volunteers and can accommodate up to 12 volunteers. The chapter will provide boxed lunches and volunteer t-shirts to all participants. The chapter will also provide bottled water and other drinks during the work shifts.
Closed toe shoes are required, and volunteers should wear clothes that can get dirty and/or paint on them. Habitat will confirm a site address for the project closer to the event date, but please come ready to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
Registration Instructions
To register for this event, please follow the instructions below:
- Register online at http://vhub.at/IMAgr. You may sign up for either the morning or afternoon shifts. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email and, three days prior to the event, you will receive a reminder email with key information about location, parking, and what to expect when volunteering.
- Let us know your preferred t-shirt size. Please email the board at grandrapids@imachapter.org to let us know your name and t-shirt size. If you are registering family members or other guests as participants, please include their names and shirt sizes as well.
