September 2024 Meeting - Michigan Economic Update

The IMA Grand Rapids chapter is pleased to announce that it is partnering with the West Michigan Association of Financial Professionals to kick off our 2024-2025 chapter year!

Join IMA and AFP members on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 as we gather at Bridgewater Place for a free networking luncheon and presentation by Lou Glazer, president and co-founder of Michigan Future, Inc. Mr. Glazer will discuss current economic factors impacting the Michigan business and labor communities. This presentation will qualify for 1 hour of IMA CPE.

The meeting will be held at Bridgewater Place (333 Bridge Avenue NW, Grand Rapids). Please park on Level C and enter through the sliding doors. The chapter will provide parking passes to all chapter members and guests.

Attendee cost: FREE

11:30 AM – Doors open for early networking
12:00 PM – Lunch begins
12:15 PM – Presentation begins

About the Speaker

Lou Glazer
President and Co-Founder, Michigan Future, Inc.

Mr. Glazer is president and co-founder of Michigan Future, Inc., a non-partisan, non-profit organization. Michigan Future’s mission is to be a source of new ideas on how Michigan can succeed as a world class community in a knowledge-driven economy. Its work is funded by Michigan foundations.

Mr. Glazer currently is heading efforts to implement a new agenda designed to raise household income for all. Prior to joining MFI, Mr. Glazer served as Deputy Director of the Michigan Department of Commerce during the Blanchard Administration. He received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Michigan.
