Register today for the free January 21, 2025 chapter luncheon meeting featuring Joe Koenig, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and forensic linguist.
We learn at an early age to listen to what people say, not what they didn't say or what they really mean. Using forensic linguistics, Mr. Koenig will break down the communication process to help attendees better understand what information is transmitted in communication, what isn't, and why precise and accurate communication results in better, factual, and more ethical decision-making. Good communication requires not only asking the right question the right way at the right time, but also minimizing contamination, which can be anything that affects communication.
Through lecture and real-life examples, attendees will improve skills necessary to understand the communication process, preparing them to become better communicators and ethical decision-makers. This presentation will qualify for 1 hour of IMA CPE.
The meeting will be held at Bridgewater Place (333 Bridge Avenue NW, Grand Rapids). Please park on Level C and enter through the sliding doors. The chapter will provide parking passes to all chapter members and guests.
